It has taken a bit of time, but the two van kitties are slowly coming out and joining me when I am in the room. Axle is a lot bolder than tandem, she hangs back a lot-
Here is Axle
And here is Tandem

They are cute looking kittens.
It’s difficult to tell two black kitties apart — at least for me. We have two of them in this latest litter. They are both rather introverted which made it even harder to distinguish them from one another, but I’ve paid a lot of attention to them, trying to give them more self-confidence, and now I can tell differences between them and recognize which one is chewing on my sock or climbing onto my lap! I hope we can find good homes for both… you know how some people feel about black cats — they’re idiots!
Only when they need meds or something, as kittens, I will put a dot of nail polish on their outer ear to tell them apart. As they grow up, they will define themselves by character and personalities and then I will be able to tell them apart without having to lift the tails! *g* I am thinking they are destined to stay with us. Which is fine-as we still have our black rescues from last year.
I can’t believe that people judge animals by their color. I am currently blessed with the most wonderful cat I have ever had and he is black – Magic is his name. Those people don’t know what they are missing not having a black cat to share their lives with.
