I have him- I suspect it is a male. He is in pretty bad shape and he looks like he may be blind in one eye. Not sure, my feline specialist is out of state so I will take him in tomorrow morning to my vet and hope they don’t throw a shoe at me or something. He is matted, incapable of swallowing, unable to walk and he tried to bite the syringe when I went to give him fluids- so I am going to just leave him alone and get him in first thing in the morning. here he is- poor guy
The poor guy. If he’s unable to swallow, there may be nothing to be done for him. Did you find out why Animal Control rescued this cat and called you?
All I was told is they got a call about a cat that possibly got hit by a car. He had other calls to make first, but he stopped by finally to take a look and saw this severely injured cat. Said he tried to walk up to it, but it sort of ran away- kept falling over and the rear legs were stiff and not bending. He called his superiors to ask what to do, and they told him to call me!
The cat is pretty aggressive right now- and my hope is the aggression is borne of pain and not something else like FIV or other diseases. He almost bit the feeding syringe in half when I gave him some baby food- so again, I am just leaving him be till tomorrow
Poor baby! Praying all goes well for him.
