4:00 a.m. and I am suddenly sprayed with cat snot. Sierra, who until now had not been sick had slept curled up under my chin. Multiple sneezing attacks now shook her body as she gave me an unwelcomed shower.
“Thanks alot” I grumble and slide out of bed careful not to awaken Mike. I shouldn’t have worried though. He could sleep through a meteor shower let alone a kitty shower in the morning.
As I make my way to the kitchen, little kitties follow my feet-after all, they move, therefore they must be prey right? I feel the all to familiar tug on my pajama bottoms and I look down and meet Perch’s stare dead on.
“Don’t even think about it!” I gently scold her. “I am NOT a tree!” To my relief she stays on the ground.
Once the coffee is going, I walk through the house counting kitties. Over half of them are actively sneezing much to my dismay. But thankfully, the discharge running from their noses and mouths are all clear an indication that this is just a cat cold and nothing more serious.
Not the best way to start a morning here, especially with a killer shift coming up later today (working 3:00-11:30) I need more coffee and then a round of antibiotics for all!
