This morning Velcro attacked the door of her cave as I opened it. Her ears were flat, but her eyes were wide open and round. I know she is sending me a message, so I managed to still feed her and keep her confined. Then I put all the cats in the enclosure in the house (including Dash). I blocked the entrance to the tunnels on the cat enclosure side and let Velcro out of her confinement. If any cat can get out of the enclosure, it will be her- though many have tried before her. My hope is that in releasing her and letting her have her space-she will relax and trust me down the road. Time will tell-
hmmmmm… We thought we had commented on this post. Guess the comment fairy got it first.
Don’t even remember exactly what we said, but it was something along the lines of wondering how Velcro would react when you had to put her back into her cave.
Thanks for the stories. I really enjoyed. My 5 month feral kitty has let me pet her twice while she drinks her milk and has decided to come lay down within 1 foot of my feet right now. So happy we are making progress. Hope to trap mama soon. She comes up to my back porch every night around 5 for dinner. I named her Samantha. I guess I need to take Taffy to the vet soon. She’s been in my home for almost 3 weeks. Yikes time flies. Hate to leave with Taffy right next to me but work will come too soon if I don’t get to bed.
How is Velcro doing now?
