It will be nice for Bella not to have to battle her tongue all the time. We are $90.00 shy of making her surgery a reality. I feel like a broken record, but we could sure use the help right now. She could sure use the help to get her on some substantial food to put meat on her skinny bones!
I wish I could donate some more. Is this mentioned on your Facebook page?
I’ve posted about Bella on my FB page, and will do so again.
Can you give me the phone number of the vet so I can pay them directly instead of on paypal (to avoid the fee) or doesn’t it matter?
Lorraine, I dropped her off this morning to have the surgery. The vet just called and said after they took x-rays, they determined the jaw is healing on its own! Glory Be to God! She is done with traumatic surgeries now. I will go pick her up in few hours.
So glad to hear that Bella is healing on her own! Well, with an able assist from MaryAnne.
Just a quick suggestion – when I had an elderly diabetic cat who was a reluctant eater I used to smoosh Fancy Feast pate with a little water in a Magic Bullet so it had a soupy texture. She was much more willing to eat it that way. Until Bella’s jaw is healed to the point where she can actually chew perhaps this would provide more nutrition and put some weight on her.
What a beautiful development. It may take a while, but this will be much better than more surgery. To add to the excellent suggestion Judy made, can you add a bulkier food to a mixture? Perhaps grind up some hard food? Whatever will add some weight to Bella.
A wonderful turn of events.
I’m so happy to hear this good news for Bella – I’m sending some to help with any special food she might need.
