After so many frustrating months, this kitty is finally on the last two weeks of healing. His prison sentence to be isolated from all the other cats was lifted yesterday and we started the slow re-introduction to the rest of the clan. Right now he is in the main cat enclosure that attaches to the house. He is stretched out in the sunshine. I am so relieved that the worst is behind us now. Never thought we would get there.
It’s been a long and anxious haul, all right. Well done, both you and Pigeon.
What a wonderful blessing. Yay for Pigeon, and hurrah for you 🙂
Good on you, Pigeon! We all are happy that you are better!
Marvelous news! Here is a poem for you and Pigeon to celebrate his healing.
What is a Cat?
Gentle eyes
that see so much,
paws that have
the quiet touch.
Purrs to signal
“all is well”
and show more love
than words can tell.
Graceful movements
touched with pride,
a calming presence
by our side.
A friendship
that will last and grow –
small wonder
why we love them so.

I love it Ginger, thank you for sharing. I have been down and out 15 days with a killer bug. Managed to stay out of the hospitals and just worked to keep fluids in. Lost 8 pounds and still left with a residual headace (although not a migraine) Feel weak and disoriented, but just pushed all types of fluids and clear liquids and took aspirin daily. Finally have my feet underneath me again. Pigeon was a god-send. He would just curl up next to me and purr in my ear as if to say- Don’t worry Mom, you took care of me, now it is my turn, I was worried there for a few days- but we have weathered the storm.
I had wondered why no posts – goodness. Please take good care as you continue to recover.
I am glad to read that the worst is over. It sounds like more than just a routine ‘flu. Did you have help with the cats during this time?
