They did a few tests today bumping up the cost of the visit to $221.00 but now we just wait until the results are in. She is still not eating and has only gained a few ounces. No fever, she doesn’t present as sick so this is a wait and see time. I will call tomorrow to get the results of the preliminary bloodwork and go from there. Thank you for giving of time, prayer and monies for her cause. I have to say she is worth every penny spent to try and figure this out.
Here she is and not easily amused- LOL
I hope the tests report something that can be worked on and improved – nothing too hard on poor Pirna, and nothing too expensive. The best of luck to her.
Thank you again- all of you. The prayers are working. This morning when she woke up and I let her out of the cage, she made her way over to the kittens food tray and started to eat! She didn’t chow down, but at least, she showed interest. And yes, she is back here with us- the foster family isn’t a fan of assist feeding. If all checks out medically, her best chance of having a wonderful life is to find her the best home out there. I see her with an elderly woman who just wants to have a lap kitty. but we will not adopt her out if she is sick so I just need to find out if the thin condition and lack of interest in food is health related.
Ok, the vet just called and said a few numbers were high but nothing concerning. I know if he were alarmed by anything he would have either said something or rescheduled her for an evaluation. Going full steam ahead on the adoption with the hopes the right person is out there waiting for her.
