This is Riggs- he is what I would call a Christmas gift gone wrong because the person he ended up with wasn’t keen on keeping him. She had called “everyone” and no one would take him. I was their last hope. So there you go- one more through the door. I took him in, got him tested and he will be neutered on Monday then up for adoption after the first. I kind of suspect he wore out his welcome quickly because he is extremely talkative. Extremely-
He is really a cutie about 3 months old-
Good Heavens, people have such a small notion of commitment. Well, hopefully, he won’t be hard to place in a home. Do you find that kittens go quickly?
We get a lot of calls from people begging me for bottle babies! No way in the world will a kitten leave here until he/she is fixed. That means that at 2 months- they can leave. Most people here don’t consider 2 months still to be a “kitten” (go figure). But if they aren’t black, torties or mack tabbies, they generally do finally get adopted. The really sweet and cute ones- I turn over to the humane society for them to find homes. More people go to safehaven then call me for cats and kittens. And that is what rescue is about- finding homes, not keeping them forever.
I have to say that this kitten has to have Siamese somewhere in his blood he talks constantly. I finally, just so I could sleep- put him in the bedroom with Hanna and still being a boy- we had some hissing going on and a few growls but no straight confrontations. He stopped talking when he had company thank the Good Lord!
