Not only are we getting an older Calico feral girl from Meow Village in Portland next week- but this little one just came to us after being discovered in an abandoned car. The car was non-running and no owner can be traced. The contents of the car look like the person or persons were homeless. We are calling her Smuckers- and although she is scared- she is definitely not feral.
This girl will arrive next week along with three other “feral” cats that MV is having problems finding a place for them-
What pretty ladies!
Are the three feral cats as feral as Smuckers? Is Meow Village a rescue-group? If so, they should know the difference between fearful and feral.
Do you still owe the vet? Is it the same one as before? I was gonna pay on the vet bill using PayPal but I’ve been hoping it’s already all taken care of. The vet I paid last time was Faithful Friends clinic.
God bless you for everything you do. JoAnn
JoAnn because we take the hard-luck cases, I will always have a vet bill. I was trying to keep it down then had to euthanize unexpectedly four cats and it shot up again. It is still Faithful Friends that I frequent. Any monies sent seems to always go to the clinic. I could stop taking the cats who need us the most, but I guess that isn’t in my DNA. I just got home- Mike has a new ulcer on his leg and I have been in Portland all day while they admitted him for care. There is a message on my phone from a lady with a kitten who seems to need vet care and has stumbled into her yard. It is to late right now to call her back, but I will call in the morning. Like I said, it seems to be in my DNA.
I know how busy you are, I check your blog every day and read every post. If the things you share were the ONLY things you do, I for one would be convinced God is using you to be His Hands and His Heart for the precious furry lives He brings to your attention.
Anyway if I can manage PayPal I’ll send $100.00 & if not I’ll call.
JoAnn
