Addie is now at the local shelter being cared for and treated. She started developing the worrisome signs of mastitis and I placed a quick call to the shelter explained how and when I got her and asked them, would you please take her. They said they would if she passed the RW exam which she did. She has only been here a few days and NOT inside the house. So she is on antibiotics and in their sick ward and will be available for adoption in about a week.
I am grateful, my ankle has really been bothering me again. Last night was probably the worst it has ever been. I wish they could tell me what is wrong with it, versus what isn’t wrong with it. I go back to the doctor this afternoon to formulate a plan with them about how to figure this out. It was so bad last night that the only way I could sleep was to wrap my foot up in a soft pillow secure that around my ankle. I finally fell out at about 3:00 a.m. with the pain only a dim throbbing. I wonder if I broke a bone in my foot and they missed it in the films? I don’t know. All I know is I need my foot back- there is so much that isn’t getting done right now.
The Nine are growing like weeds with no signs of active ringworm except on the biggest boy Sailor. The shelter said the culture is just now starting to grow looking suspiciously like ringworm- so we will see how it goes from there. Been so hot here- but rain is predicted tonight.
It can’t be easy trying to accomplish so much with a bad ankle. They better figure something out for you. I’ve noticed that doctors, whether for people or animals, seem to know less and less these days.
Turns out my bursa sac is twice as large as it should be. They wanted to inject me with steroids in my ankle, but I opted for oral steroids instead. They gave me something to help me sleep and something for pain. At least they don’t have to do surgery like they first thought.
thank goodness and now at least you can get some rest, be sure to take advantage of that. You need to be sure to take care of you.
