Yesterday, when my phone rang it was a call I couldn’t say no to. It came from a concerned neighbor who unfortunately lives in the hunting grounds of the person committing atrocities on cats. She was deeply upset and said her neighbor who had been evicted 8 months ago, left behind an orange cat. She had seen a teenager in a hoodie hovering near where the cat hangs out and she opened her window to talk to him and he fled. She was afraid that this cat would become a victim.
So I have her, she is an older kitty, quite sweet. She was covered in some odd smelling nasty stuff along with pee and poo. She has had a bath, been to the vet and tested negative. So she is safe now in our cage on the back patio and hopefully, I will be able to find her a home. Most people really like the orange kitties. She really like ear rubs and tuna! 🙂
I am also thankful that although I couldn’t get four of our outside kitties in before the insanity called fireworks took off- they are all present and accounted for this morning. I removed three cats off the road this morning on my way to town. I hate the fourth of july-
Orange females are uncommon – and always remind me of my Tungsten. I hope you can find her a loving home soon. This one has been living on her own for eight months? Resourceful little lady… But now she can relax, thank goodness.
