Wait a minute – I thought kitten season was springtime. Did we somehow miss winter and the year is cycling around again? Whatever. At least these are all alive. Maybe hungry but look otherwise O.K.

We haven’t had that cold snap to stop the madness known as mating season for strays. I got a call tonight about two pregnant black cats! Pregnant in October? Not supposed to happen. Like my friend Lyn said (she rescues in Idaho) if we think we are tired- how do we think the queens feel about now?
The kittens have eaten five cans of fancy feast kitten. The food that recently arrived (including the 9 Lives is a total answered prayer!) Thanks to those of you who sent the food our way. It is much needed- 16 kittens right now- YIKES!!!
