I want to thank all of you for making it possible for these two to remain together until the end of their days. I will be taking his other two cats if he can’t find homes for them, but at least Senior Sammi gets to stay with the guy he loves so much.
Just received this is my email:
To all of you who donated to help us save our Sammy, thank you sooo much. We love our boy and can’t imagine our family without him. Thanks again for your generosity. George & Kelly
The goal was reached? Hurrah! Maybe the landlord will let George take all his cats considering the deposit has been paid. Fingers and paws crossed. But good for Sammi!
yay!!! so happy for George and Sammi, it would be nice if the landlord would let him have them all, after all they are seniors. But aside from that them being with you means that George can come visit with them.
It is $300.00 per animal! They are already paying to keep two of their small dogs and now they can keep Sammi, but if they keep the other two cats it is an additional $600.00! I just can’t wrap my head around pet deposits. It causes so many cats/dogs to be displaced or abandoned and is so bloody unfair to owner and pet!
That is grossly unfair. However, have George keep in mind the possibility of persuading the landlord after the latter sees how well Sammi behaves and how well George keeps the place. Also, is there a chance George, who is obviously more than handy with tools, can do something in the way of building or maintenance for the landlord that would count toward the other deposits?
