He is alive! They did not take him to the vet. They “nursed” him back to health with damp rags, ice beds and siphoning fluids into his mouth. I am going to go ahead and put his neuter back on the books for CATS Inc., on the 18th. We feel if we don’t foot this bill, this opens this cat up to such inherent risks in his lifetime and he is such a nice fella. They claim he was “broken hearted” I don’t know. I just know that getting him a vet was his best chance of surviving that horrible fever. Whether he is brain-damaged now is yet to be determined, but at least he is still alive.
I hate knowing a cat and yet having to let others take care of him, when I know they aren’t doing what they should. I was in that position with my foster-cat, Cammie, now back with me.
Once he is neutered, I think Teo will be fine. He’s a survivor.
Mary Anne, is it really a good idea to subject his body to the stress of a neuter surgery so soon after going through this high temperature incident??? I would be afraid of a relapse.
oh thank goodness, I know you and all of us have been very worried about him. Do you have him back? Does he seem ok? what about GiGi is she ok? Are they together again. oh darn, sorry about so many questions.
