Guess who is in my lap?

BENTLEY!!! He came home this morning and if I even get out of eye-shot with him, he lays his head back and screams for me. LOL I am beyond thrilled to have him home but he has lost so much weight after shedding the lining of his tummy.

Thanks to those who donated- I was able to cover most of the bill. There is still $512.00 hanging. Having him back home is amazing. He is kneading my knee and headbumping my chin as I type-

Welcome home Bentley and again THANKS to those of you who dug deep and still believe in what I do (or try to)

  1. Is that what happened then? He lost the lining of his stomach? Poor baby.
Glad he’s home and now you can both recooperate.

  2. The virus grows lesions inside the cat’s body and these lesions attach themselves to all available soft tissue and start to eat away at the tissue to gain access to other parts of the cat body. A cat who has only lost his lining to his stomach or lower intestine can regrow this lining within 3 days which is why they wanted to keep him longer. His lining is intact and he will stay on the medication and if he stops eating- then supportive fluids will be needed. He is meowing constantly right now. I am not sure if he is in pain, or just happy to be home. If I get out of his eyesight he goes nuts.

We have a new addition to the family- a dog (not a cat) a puppy. He was in a really bad place and now he is safe. He is a Huskador and he loves the cats. He and Bentley have made fast friends. We are calling him Remington (Remy for short) and he is 5 months old- all solid white, husky type face (and the icy eyes) and a lab body with a husky’s legs. He is very full of himself but most puppies are.
