Reese’s preemie, Cricket has just gone to the Bridge. It was quite sudden. She was walking wobbly across the floor, then she just fell over and was gone. She didn’t even have time for a hug goodbye.

Oh my! So terribly sorry to hear! Poor babies. Hang in there MA. God in his infinite wisdom is truly good!
At least it was quick, though that can be small consolation. Let’s hope Cricket is the only one her mother needs with her right now.
My heart is breaking. I don’t want to lose these babies! She wasn’t even on my radar. Paris and Kojak are the ones showing signs of active sickness. What I just witnessed is not a symptom of distemper.
But it was quick and she didn’t suffer. As much as I hate loosing them that’s the key thing here.
I just rescued a tortie kitten from a grocery store parking lot. I named her Reese.
Thank you for that. May her life be long and lovely-
Oh, Maryanne, you’ve had so many heartbreaks. Unfortunately panleuk can take a cat very quickly. Many years ago I lost my tuxedo cat, Figaro, to it in less than 12 hours after he showed signs. No one expected it to be panleuk because he’d been vaccinated for it twice that year (my poor record-keeping at the time). He was probably immune deficient though as he had other health challenges.
It sounds like Reese did too, poor baby. She was such a beautiful tortie I am sad that she is gone but you did all you could.
So sorry.
