Clara, the smallest of the burn pile kitties has passed away. Her sister Amelia is now at the vet in Isolation. Please send good thoughts, prayers, money whatever you can send my way to allow us to find the answer as to why these cuties are dying. I will keep you informed as soon as I know something. I can’t burn a candle today in the window, but there is one burning in my heart for her- poor girl
9:52 p.m. If Amelia makes it through the night, in the morning, her name will be changed to Miracle…..
I’m sorry. When something that tragic and hard happens to such a delicate being, they don’t recover. You saved them from a horrible fate though and gave them a chance. Hang in there.

Oh, so sorry. Sometimes, the bad start is just too much to overcome. Sending hopeful purrrrrrss to Amelia. Purrrrrrraying that this is something treatable, and not something genetic.
Thanks Marian, when you hold such a precious life in your hands and have to give her back to God- even though it is the right thing- it is always so hard to let go- at least, she didn’t die alone and she slept on my chest most of the night but when her eyes never closed once, I knew it was time for her to go on to better things.
As of yesterday morning I am the caretaker of 6 kittens, approximatelhy 10 days old. It’s been almost 10 years since I cared for kittens this little. I am amazed at their tiny personalities. None of my babies will be in the same room with their kitty carrier. It’s as if the line has been drawn in the sand. Stay tuned and stay well.

Mary Anne, I hope she does make it, and I guess the issue isn’t from being in the pile. Wonder where their mama was? Thinking of you.
I hope Amelia grows strong. Poor Clara; they must have had it bad from the start. Were they taken from their mother too soon? I wonder how they came to be where they were found.
