His eye is so messed up there is a possibility he might lose it. His visit has set me back a bit so if anyone can contribute to his care- I would welcome it with open arms. He is a pirate right now, wearing a patch which isnt going to last very long in his world I am afraid. But it is hoped that in cutting off the light and the air from the eye, it will allow the eye to heal on its own and not require removal. There is a name for what he has, but I can’t say it let alone spell it but it is due to long periods of neglect and lack of nutrients to the body. Poor kitty-

lsmidges are a blessing! Paypal is fine. He was staying over at the vet’s until he let them know that small cages are not to his liking! LOL His eye is so angry and ugly. I haven’t seen anything quite like this before it is as if the lower membrane of the eye is just hanging there?

I just had a long talk with Mr. C- he managed to tear off his eye patch so I suspect he wouldn’t make a very good pirate. I told him that we didn’t just build this wonderful enclosed porch for him so he COULDN”T enjoy the view- and that his second project- his insulated cat box would also require that he be able to see where he was going in order to get warm.
I have to say that he behaved himself quite well with the vet this morning and allowed me to pet him for quite awhile before trying to bite me. He has lost weight, which makes me sad- but his teeth aren’t in the best shape and that could be why. When I puree his food, he doesn’t even touch it- silly kitty…
I had to laugh when they said they were going to try and keep him overnight- my vet added “If he will let us!” His past reputation is still in force there. He put up with it for a little bit but overnight- guess he doesn’t like slumber parties.
He’s such a unique boy and I am doing the best I can with him- I thank all of you for your help in this- couldn’t do it without you-
Maybe Cyclone can have a discussion with Selina (ONE EYE ON THE FUTURE). Purrrrrring that he and his eye both recover.
