  1. After you get a go with this woman then I get a turn. What a horrible person. I hope there is a special spot in hell reserved for her. Thank God for the kind people who rescued the cats.

  2. Thank God for the tree that snagged the bag! Were it not for the fallen trees, the cats would have drowned!

The latest news is they have now seized all her cats and she is cooling her heels in jail.

  3. One person in the story commented that she likely has mental problems; she’s been cited numerous times for animal neglect. This is a problem of the authorities not shutting her down, too. But I guess even if they did, she’d start back up again. I’m the last to give credence to mental illness as an excuse for evil but in this case, I think the trouble may be that someone like this probably feels compelled to do what she does. The fact that she did nothing to hide her attempt to kill the cats suggests that she isn’t dealing entirely in reality. She needs to be locked away where she won’t do any harm.

  4. There is a “rescuer” who lives in another town. Her idea of rescue is to force most of the cats (and she has dozens) to live out their lives in small carriers! She rarely vets, and she breeds strays if she has a light-colored cat she will not spay her and then allow other males to take her inside a large outside cage (that is in deplorable condition) then she sells the kittens. So many people (including myself) have tried to get her shut down, but they let her continue to “rescue” by saying that the cats are under cover, fed and given water and are better off with her then being in the wild! In other words, in this county and all across the country- cats don’t matter much.

The last time I was at her home, I saw a momcat and her 8 kittens in a small carrier (and I do mean small) with a litterpan, water and food and the mom had no choice but to nurse her kittens in the filth-sigh. I tried to take the whole family from her but she wouldn’t allow me to.

I have given her advice, supplies, taken a few of her cats when I have the space, but all her cats have running URI an other issues and yet she believes she rescues and does good. She has a lot of land and she does have free-roaming cats although most of those free roamers are not spayed or neutered. It is such a sad place to visit and I don’t go there anymore.

One cat I got from her last year had been inside the carrier for so long, he couldn’t even walk straight! It took months of work and massage and letting him find his feet again before he could walk and he went on to be adopted into a wonderful family.
