A few days ago, I was presented with a small orange kitten who had been thrown out of a car at a high rate of speed. He thankfully landed in tall grasses and not on the road.
He lived but briefly- his injuries to much to overcome and his heart gave out. The vet did everything in her power to help this little one and on a Sunday to boot! But there was little to be done but love him till his last breath.
I had him less than eight hours- but at least within that time he died with someone holding him not alone in the field with no one around but raptors. They did not find the person who tossed him out of their life so cruely.
You are so right – it doesn’t matter how long or for what reason – they ALL matter. Too bad the “people” who throw out animals and are cruel don’t and can’t understand that – and leave the heartache for the rest of us. I am glad you and the vet were there for this little guy.
Purrrrrss for the little guy. At least he had a little love in his life.
i have a weakness for orange kitties. Glad this little one found its way to your door for some tender loving care, if only for a short time. i have no words for the heartless person who was so cruel. Thank you for all you do.
*snuggles his own orange kitty*
:(:(:(
Absolutely correct: they all matter. No different than who among us, matters and does not matter? I am so glad he could spend his last hours with you. I would like to spend the last few hours of the life of the individual who threw him out of the car — nice and private like — just them and me……Such cruelty. I abhor violence and discord, but could make an exception here…..Oh yes, they all matter! Thanks again for all you do!
