I stopped by the business where the kittens were and discovered that I missed one of the kittens! I had thought they had been killed or captured but somehow a Mackeral Tabby boy got left behind. I felt horrible. I took his complete comfort station with me when I left- so I quickly ran home and grabbed my kitten carrier. I set it up with warm bedding and stuck some warmed cat food inside. He was so hungry- he went right in! I pulled the cord shut and when I leaned over to latch the door- I dropped the wire and he got out!
Just that few minutes on my feet killed me, so I couldn’t try again- plus I know that he wasn’t coming back any time soon. He got scared when that carrier door slammed shut.
I left him more food and warm bedding and talked to a friend of mine. She will go over to the business tomorrow and see if she can trap him (dang foot of mine anyway!)
I’m sorry little boy- I took your mom and your brother and sister. I would have never left you behind- but no one even saw you the first time. I don’t know where you came from but I hope in the next 24 hours you will be here with us.
The poor fellow, he must be scared. But the lure of the food will probably work again. Please keep us apprised of events. We want the last kitten to be safe with you.
I will be praying you get him soon. Thank goodness you went back!
Hope you find that kitten!
